En el marco de la guerra del Peloponeso entre Atenas y Esparta, la primera intenta hacerse
con la hegemonía en la estratégica isla de Sicilia. Allí, su principal rival es
la ciudad de Siracusa, como enclave griego más poderoso en la isla. En un
intento de traerla bajo el ala ateniense se envía una poderosa expedición compuesta
por la flor y nata de las tropas y flotas atenienses y aliadas. Este libro de la editorial Osprey narra la
campaña de Siracusa entre el 415 y el 413 AC.
